A moonroof is a type of sunroof that features a transparent or tinted glass panel, allowing light into the cabin even when closed. It typically slides back into the roof structure or tilts open at the rear for ventilation. Unlike traditional metal sunroofs that completely block the sky when shut, a moonroof includes an interior sliding shade to block out the sun when desired.
