Transfer tape is just adhesive film on a liner. It is laid on one surface, the liner is removed, and the second part is applied, leaving a thin, even adhesive layer with no backing. It suits thin bonds, nameplates, membrane switches and laminating graphics. Without a carrier it is harder to handle and tears easily during converting.
Laminate the overlay with transfer tape, the double-coated stuff is too thick for the switch domes.
