Aggressive adhesives bite on first contact and leave little chance to adjust. Installers like them for rough, low-energy or dusty surfaces and dislike them for long, careful alignments. The word appears in sales literature and on the floor alike. An aggressive tape is not automatically strong in shear or at temperature.
