A chemical stripping process that removes dye from heavy fabrics to create a mottled pattern.

To tumble garments with pumice stones soaked in a bleaching agent, usually sodium hypochlorite, to selectively strip away the top layer of dye. This process creates high-contrast, localized fading and a heavily worn texture, primarily applied to indigo denim.
