A graphical control element used to seek through audio or video media.

A horizontal slider or bar in a media player interface that represents the timeline of an audio or video file. Users click and drag the handle along the scrubber to rapidly seek forward or backward to specific playback positions. The term originates from analog tape editing, where physical tape was scrubbed back and forth over a playback head to locate an exact cut point.
