End-node

nounStandard termTelecom & IT

An end-node is a device at the edge of a network that originates or receives data.

An end-node is a piece of hardware that sits at the very edge of a network topology, acting as the final destination or initial source of network traffic. Unlike routers or switches that merely forward packets, end-nodes consume or generate the payload. Common examples include desktop computers, IP cameras, and smart sensors.

We need to isolate the compromised end-node from the main VLAN before the malware spreads to the core switches.
