Equal-level far-end crosstalk measures the interference coupled from one wire pair to another at the far end of a cable, mathematically adjusted for the attenuation of the signal over the cable length. This calculation allows technicians to compare crosstalk performance independently of the cable length. It is a critical certification parameter for Cat 5 and Cat 6 ethernet cabling.
The certifier failed the drop because the ELFEXT margin was too low on pair three.
