The computational process of separating a combined audio or signal feed into its original individual channels.

To isolate individual stems, instruments, or discrete signal channels from a previously mixed composite signal. In broadcasting and audio engineering, this relies on phase cancellation, frequency filtering, or algorithmic separation to reconstruct isolated tracks that were originally merged into a single stereo or mono feed.
