Shop shorthand for anything magnesia: mag brick, mag gun mix, mag-carb, mag-chrome. Steel plant crews and refractory salespeople use it constantly, and context tells you whether it means a pallet of brick, a gunning mix or the raw grain. Mag products share the same weakness, they hydrate if stored wet, so mag goes in the dry shed.
Load two pallets of mag for the ladle slag line and a tote of mag gun for the hot repair.
