An ornamental design printed at the top of a page to mark the beginning of a chapter.

A decorative illustration, typographic ornament, or engraved block positioned at the very top of a page, usually where a new section, chapter, or volume begins. It serves to visually anchor the start of the text and add aesthetic value to the layout.
