Quick-turn

nounShop talkPCBs

Expedited board fabrication or assembly delivered in days instead of weeks, at a premium price.

Quick-turn means fabrication or assembly delivered fast, anywhere from 24 hours to a few days, for prototypes and urgent fixes. Board houses price by lead time, so the same board can cost several times more on a 2-day turn than on a standard three-week build. Prototype teams use quick-turn for each spin during bring-up, then move volume production to standard lead times.
