A fully fabricated printed circuit board that has completed all etching, drilling, plating, and soldermask steps but has not yet gone through assembly. It consists only of the fiberglass core, copper traces, and surface finishes. Bare boards are tested for continuity and shorts by the board house before being shipped to the assembly facility for component population.
