Rows of needles either carry a separate yarn or form loops from the web's own fibers, knitting chain stitches through the web and locking it together. The result has textile-like strength and stability, used for mattress ticking, cleaning cloths, insulation facings and composite reinforcements. Stitch gauge, stitch length and yarn type set strength and appearance.
Stitchbonding line is running 14 gauge with polyester yarn for the mattress backing.
