Spunbond spinnerets carry thousands of capillaries across the width of the beam, each hole sized and spaced to give filaments of the target denier. The spinneret sits at the bottom of the spin pack, under filters and distribution plates that spread the polymer evenly. Plugged or damaged holes cause gaps, coarse filaments and drips, so packs are pulled and cleaned on a schedule.
Spinneret shows a row of plugged holes on the drive side, pull the pack at the next change.
