Shorthand for ISO/IEC 17025, the requirements standard against which testing and calibration labs are accredited. It covers impartiality, staff competence, equipment, method validation, measurement uncertainty, traceability, decision rules, reporting and the management system. Accreditation bodies assess labs against it and publish each lab's scope of accreditation, listing exactly which measurements and uncertainties the accreditation covers.
Supplier says they're ISO 17025, fine, but is torque on their scope, and at what CMC?
Accreditation covers only what is on the scope; a lab accredited for pressure can still send you an unaccredited humidity cert.
