A metal tube housing a parabolic aluminized reflector lamp, usually the PAR64, with the beam spread set by which lamp is fitted: very narrow, narrow, medium or wide. Cheap, punchy and nearly indestructible, PAR cans are a staple of concert rigs and small venues. LED PAR fixtures copy the form with color mixing, and crews say PAR or can for both.
Rig is mostly movers, but put a row of PAR cans on the back truss for the audience blinders.
