An anticorona is a meteorological and optical effect caused by the backscattering of light by tiny water droplets. It appears as a series of concentric, colored rings directly opposite the light source, often surrounding the shadow of an aircraft or a person's head on a cloud. It demonstrates complex light diffraction and interference patterns.
