Pulse repetition time

nounStandard termElectronics

The total time elapsed between the start of one periodic pulse and the start of the next.

The time interval between corresponding points on consecutive pulses in a repeating train of pulses. It encompasses both the active pulse width and the dead time (off time) that follows. It is the reciprocal of the pulse repetition frequency (PRF).

Heard on the job

Increase the pulse repetition time on the signal generator so the transistor has more time to cool down between switching events.
