Hazard avoidance cameras are wide-angle imaging systems mounted on the front and rear of unmanned rovers. They provide stereoscopic, three-dimensional views of the immediate terrain, allowing the vehicle's autonomous navigation software to detect obstacles, trenches, and impassable rocks.
