An engine configuration utilizing a high-output turbocharger to significantly increase horsepower and torque over standard models. These systems generally run higher boost pressures, require larger intercoolers, and demand specialized engine mapping compared to low-pressure turbo setups aimed at fuel economy.
The HOT version gets a bigger compressor wheel and thicker connecting rods from the factory.
