The electronic stability program is a computerized safety technology that improves a vehicle's stability by detecting and reducing traction loss. It uses wheel speed, steering angle, and yaw rate sensors to determine if the car is sliding, then selectively brakes individual wheels to counteract oversteer or understeer.
