A yottametre (Ym) is an SI unit of length representing 10^24 metres. It is one of the largest named metric units of length, surpassed only by the ronna- and quetta- prefixes. At approximately 105.7 million light years, it is exclusively used in astronomy and cosmology to measure intergalactic distances, such as the scale of local galaxy superclusters.
