A volumetric rate of flow equal to one million cubic metres per second.

A non-SI unit used almost exclusively in oceanography to measure the massive transport of ocean currents. One unit represents a flow rate of 10⁶ cubic metres per second. Oceanographers use it to quantify global circulation patterns like the Gulf Stream without writing out enormous numbers.
