Rust and oxidation inhibited: a class of circulating, compressor and turbine oils that contain only antioxidant, rust inhibitor, defoamant and sometimes demulsifier, with no AW or EP agents. R&O oils separate from water well and suit plain bearings, centrifugal pumps, blowers and turbines where the contacts run in full film. They are the wrong choice for gear pumps and heavily loaded gear sets.
Pump bearing housings get the R&O 68, the AW stuff stays on the hydraulic carts.
