A care classification for textiles that will shrink, melt, felt, or lose their structural integrity when exposed to the heat and mechanical tumbling of a machine dryer. These fabrics must be air-dried, either laid flat or hung, to maintain their intended dimensions and finish. It commonly applies to woolens, delicate synthetics, and heavily embellished garments.
