Service Data Point is a node in an intelligent network that holds subscriber databases and service scripts.

Service Data Point is the database component of an Intelligent Network (IN) architecture. It stores customer profiles, routing information, and billing data needed to execute custom telephony services like toll-free routing or prepaid calling. When a call requires special handling, the Service Control Point queries the SDP to determine how to process it.
