An Internet Protocol private branch exchange (IPBX) routes voice traffic internally and connects to the public switched telephone network using packet-switched data rather than dedicated copper lines. It converts voice audio into digital packets, allowing companies to use their existing Ethernet infrastructure for both computers and phones. This eliminates the need for a separate physical phone wiring system.
The new IPBX is dropping packets when the sales team transfers calls to the warehouse.
