In 3G UMTS networks, a DPCH is a dedicated radio resource assigned to a single mobile station for the duration of a connection. It is technically a composite of the Dedicated Physical Data Channel (DPDCH) and the Dedicated Physical Control Channel (DPCCH) multiplexed together. It ensures that a specific user has guaranteed bandwidth for voice or data, though it consumes more network capacity than shared channels.
We're running out of code space on this sector because too many users are holding an active DPCH.
