A form of radio degradation that occurs when two different transmitters operate on the same frequency band and their coverage areas overlap. In cellular networks, this happens when frequency reuse places identical channels too close geographically. Engineers mitigate it by adjusting antenna tilt, reducing transmit power, or dynamically reassigning frequencies to maintain an acceptable signal-to-interference ratio.
The drop in throughput on sector three is entirely due to CCI from the new macro site across the river.
