A historic class of British steam locomotives built for express passenger service on the East Coast Main Line.

A class of 4-6-2 Pacific steam locomotives designed by Nigel Gresley for the London and North Eastern Railway. Known for their speed and distinctive appearance, these engines hauled heavy express passenger trains. The most famous surviving member of this class is the Flying Scotsman, which remains an iconic symbol of the steam era.
