An extreme form of just-in-time manufacturing where suppliers deliver parts to the assembly line exactly in the order they are needed for specific units. This eliminates line-side sorting and reduces inventory space to near zero. It requires tight data integration between the manufacturer and the supplier, as a single missed or out-of-order part stops the entire line.
