Clickability

nounStandard termProduction

A material's ability to be die-cut cleanly without permanent deformation.

Clickability measures how well a soft material, like foam or rubber, springs back to its original shape after being struck by a cutting die. High clickability means the material shears cleanly without leaving crushed edges, burrs, or stretched profiles. It is a critical metric for gaskets and foam inserts.

Heard on the job

The new polyurethane batch failed QA because its clickability is too low and the edges are rolling over.
