Modified American plan

nounStandard termLogistics

A hotel billing arrangement that includes the room rate, breakfast, and one other meal, usually dinner.

The modified American plan (MAP) is a hotel pricing structure where the daily rate covers the guest's accommodation, a standard breakfast, and either lunch or dinner. It is commonly offered at resorts where guests spend most of the day off-property but return for the evening. This structure guarantees the hotel a certain level of food and beverage revenue without restricting the guest to full board.
