Consolidator

nounStandard termLogistics

A logistics company that combines multiple smaller shipments into full truckloads or containers.

A freight forwarder or logistics provider that gathers less-than-truckload or less-than-container-load shipments from different shippers and bundles them into a single, larger load. This allows shippers to access cheaper full-load freight rates and reduces the total number of vehicles needed for transport.
