Texture is made by co-extruding gas-blown asperities, spraying hot polymer onto the sheet or embossing it with patterned rolls. The rough surface raises the interface friction angle well above that of smooth sheet, so liners stay put on side slopes. Texture is checked as asperity height, and many textured rolls leave smooth edge strips so fusion welds sit on flat sheet.
Textured geomembrane on the three-to-one slopes, smooth on the floor, and keep the smooth edges lined up for the wedge.
