Fresh, succulent green forage or vegetable matter fed to livestock.

Any fresh, unpreserved plant material provided to animals as feed, contrasting with dry hay, grain, or concentrated rations. This includes fresh pasture grass, cut clover, root tops, and vegetable scraps. It provides high moisture and vitamins but lacks the dense caloric energy of dried winter feeds.
