A strip of insulating material, usually Bakelite or fiberglass, featuring a row of metal terminals or eyelets. Technicians use them in point-to-point wiring to physically anchor discrete components like resistors and capacitors, and to join multiple wires together. They are heavily associated with vintage electronics and tube amplifier construction.
Solder the dropping resistor directly across terminals three and four on the tag strip.
