A Traffic Advisory is an alert generated by the Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) indicating that another aircraft is in close proximity. It serves as an early warning to help the flight crew visually acquire the intruding aircraft before a potential collision risk develops. If the threat worsens, the system will upgrade the alert to a Resolution Advisory, demanding an evasive maneuver.
