A typographic effect where a horizontal line is drawn through the middle of text.

A typographic treatment where characters are rendered with a horizontal line passing through their center. It is primarily used in editing to indicate deleted or replaced copy, or stylistically to show irony or correction. In digital typesetting, this is applied as a text attribute rather than a separate character.
