A heavy vehicle or structure that transports a rocket and raises it vertically onto the launch pad.

A heavy mobile structure or vehicle used to transport a rocket horizontally and raise it into a vertical position on the launch pad. Once the vehicle is upright, the erector often serves as a service structure, providing umbilical connections and access platforms before rolling back prior to liftoff.
