Isopropyl alcohol, usually 70 to 99 percent, is the default surface cleaner for tapes and many adhesives because it removes fingerprints and light oils and evaporates without residue. Good practice is to wipe in one direction with a fresh area of cloth and to wipe dry before it evaporates, so dirt is lifted off rather than smeared around. Heavier oils need a stronger solvent or degreaser first.
Did you IPA wipe the bracket? I can see fingerprints right where the tape goes.
